The day finally came. I have never been more attrached to a UPS driver than when she pulled up with boxes and boxes of "Strong Feet on the Concrete" I wanted to buy her a shot or buy right then and there. Friday April 21st at Starline was the biggest 40 Watt celebration to date!! it was packed, no tables and chairs just bodies and beer. Diego's Umbrella opened the show and the air was getting thick with anticipation. We got on stage with full band(3horns too) and played the CD from beginning to end. it was a little akward to play Drunk&inLove so "early" but we did. We also played "On&ON" for the first time live. It wasn't all roses though. On our first song, Sean broke his snare drum head. Remember breaking a drum head isn't like breaking a guitar string. He is a hard hitter, but damn! That is an example of how much electricity was in the club. While we were playing there was a severe thunder storm going on outside, thats what happens when 40 Watt unleashes the beast. Anyways, he eventually got a hold of my snare drum and proceeded to kill as usual. We had a blast and we were happy that the music was well recieved, we worked really hard on this record and are very proud of it. (pick it up at cdbaby.com/40watthype3 or www.40watthype.com or Tower Records(in Fresno) Soon to be available in record stores, stay tuned.
