Things were looking up downtown September 1st for the last concert in the music series "Fulton Plaza Thursdays." Violinist Patrick Contrares started out the night with a solo set. Next up was Los Hooligans, supporting their new release "Mafioso Ska." Tight and professional as always, the crowd was warming up by now. We came up as the sum was going down and hit the crowd of 500 with the home grown sound. It was nice to play a free show infront of a crowd full of family, friends and peers. After 40 Watt Hype was the Mofo Party Band who dropped a heavy, sweaty bluesy set and finished off the night with style and substance. A great night for Fresno, pat yourselves on the back you delivered a successful concert series downtown. That is what this town needs more of.
